Literary Interludes

Socrates, Wilde, Rasputin and Punch

Fun at a party, but avoid them at lunch

Socrates sir, can’t handle the drink

And Wilde flashes an uncomfortable wink

Rasputin never shuts up the mouth

And Punch’s jokes always head south

And on this common definition rest

man is the likeness, image; not jest

of the Alpha Omega Progenitor Rex

Name’s Yahweh, remember it Tex

I only create ’em and NO! No returns

Such is the plight of he who attorns.
